Hydration is closely linked to the health and appearance of the skin. When the skin is well-hydrated, it is fuller, smoother and younger looking. Likewise, skin that is dehydrated can appear dull, sullen and more wrinkled. With the HydraFacial, moisture is infused directly into the skin, rejuvenating it and giving it a youthful and radiant glow. Young skin has more naturally occurring levels of hyaluronic acid, the compound responsible for absorbing and holding water within the skin. Over time, the natural aging process, as well as environmental toxins, cause hyaluronic acid levels to gradually decline, affecting the skin’s elasticity, tone and texture. This process can also allow the development of free radicals within the skin, which can effectively speed up the aging process. With HydraFacial MD, the skin is permeated with a combination of antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid that take on the effects of aging and reverses the appearance of sun damage.

Procedure

We perform HydraFacials as an in-office procedure, usually requiring approximately 60 minutes per session. The process is completely painless, providing only the sensation of soft, cool strokes across the skin. We offer treatments that are individualized to address your unique skin concerns. All HydraFacials utilize the Vortex-Fusion® device, which breaks down treatment into various phases depending on skin type and treatment goals. The first phase is designed to gently cleanse and exfoliate the top layer of the skin, preparing it for treatment. Next, we apply a mild glycolic and salicylic acid peel that is gentle, but does not produce scaling or sloughing after the procedure. Then, the pores are gently suctioned to remove oil and other impurities. Once the skin has been cleansed, exfoliated and rejuvenated, we apply topical serums designed to brighten skin tone, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and nourish the skin with antioxidants and peptides.
